EARLY CHILDHOOD
LEARN + play + CREATE
We provide many different hands-on opportunities for your child to explore and create through structured educational and blended-learning activities encouraging each child to learn at their own pace. Our Early Childhood students have proven to be more successful with technology and the blended-learning model than we anticipated.
Creating Kindergarten-Ready Students

The EC blended learning environment fosters choice and flexibility that builds kindergarten readiness. At this level, the curriculum is Web-supported, with some opportunities for digital learning but is primarily based on face-to-face interactions that foster student and teacher relationships.

DIG curriculum fosters oral language skills, critical thinking, and listening comprehension through puppets, vocabulary, poems, activities, and play.
-
Teachers have training in specialized reading techniques such as phonemic awareness and phonics to ensure all students learn to read and are ready for kindergarten.
-
The science curriculum focuses on character traits, science vocabulary, and experiments.
-
Bible is taught as a course, but a biblical worldview is infused into all content areas through the use of our schoolwide overarching essential question: How does (what we are learning) show us about man’s fall and the struggle to find redemption and restoration? This question is phrased at any Early Childhood level.

PE, Music, Discovery Lab, Art in Motion, and Studio Art are supplemental enrichment opportunities. Our current EC Academy opportunity is Tennis. All of these reinforce school readiness.
